My blog got nominated for an award, all thanks to Bluebell!
She writes some of the most heartfelt, raw and relatable pieces of poetry that definitely warrant a read!
Now I must say that it feels amazing to get noticed, we all know that feeling don’t we.
The reason I began writing was because…. well, thoughts have to go somewhere. I’m not the sharing type, not verbally. My writing for the most part is an amalgamated outlet for all things I feel and would rather leave unsaid if otherwise.
Not to bore you with more monologing, lets begin…
- Acknowledge the blog who nominated you.
- Answer the 10 questions your nominator asked.
- Nominate 10 other bloggers.
- Ask them 10 questions.
- Let them know you have nominated them.
What’s something not many people know about you?
There’s a lot of things, as I’m not big on sharing. But I would say my surname. That is something only my best friend knows. And he wont shut up about making fun of it …hahaha… :D!!
What’s your favorite book?
Well it’s a tie between Secret scriptures by Sebastian Barry and 1984 by George Orwell (Just finished the latter a week ago). Both books are worlds apart in their narrative, style and theme. Secret Scriptures is a personal story, written in a way that doesn’t just pluck at your heartstrings, but plays a damn concert out of it! The level of detail to which the human trivialities and indescribable emotions are ascribed, just took me on a heavenly ride.
1984 on the other hand talks about a concept that really fascinate me. A friend of mine mistakenly presumed it to be a book about patriotism. But its not. It actually shattered a lot of notions for me about the way the world works. And I have never come across a book with this amount of world building. So yea. If I have to choose, I would say both.
Favorite musical instrument?
A grand Piano. I just love the sound of it. The power it has. It’s almost intimidating. I used to learn a bit in school but then I lost touch and haven’t touched it since. But even now whenever I see one, I just cant stop myself to want to go and play, even if that is just a few random notes.
What is your first memory?
I remember whenever I used to visit my grandfather for summer vacations, i used to mess with their pet dog Diana a lot. I must have been 3… I guess. She was a very old Pomeranian and would let me play with her without biting as long as she could, then she would just scoot under a bed and sleep.
Is there a film, book or song that can always make you cry?
Yes. The movie A Monster Calls. I just cant help it at the end.
What is a pet hate of yours?
There are many.. for one …I hate when people make sound while eating.
If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
God. (Please don’t judge).
What is your favorite thing to write about?
I love toying with ‘What ifs’. What if the world couldn’t sleep. What if the tortoise paid the rabbit to lose, and so on and so forth. You get the idea…
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Time travel 😛
